Erin Kerley

Erin Kerley is one of the founders of ElaAyurveda. She is a graduate of Mount Madonna Institute College of Ayurveda, holding a Diploma, Ayurveda Lifestyle Counselor and Certificate, Ayurveda Practitioner.


Erin is also a Yoga teacher, having graduated in 2000 from Prana Yoga and Zen Center in Vancouver, Canada. She has been practicing yoga for over ten years, and taught in Vancouver and San Francisco. She has studied Ayurveda with many teachers including Dr.Vasant Lad, Dr. Sarita Shrestha and John Doulliard. She traveled to India in 2009 to study with Dr.Ashwin Shastry.


Prior to studying Ayurveda, Erin worked as a Veterinary Nurse in Vancouver and San Francisco.

It is my intention to provide the support for my clients to begin a journey towards health and happiness and to find the true expression of their natural selves.


I honour the traditions and wisdom of Ayurveda and look forward to sharing my knowledge.

Eleni Gekas

Born and raised in the Washington DC area, Eleni sought a world of balance and mindfulness. She earned a BA in Women's Studies & Spanish from Washington University in St. Louis. During her last semester, she took her first Yoga course initiating her into a life-long study of the ancient practices of India.

After graduation, she moved to San Francisco. In 1999, Eleni began teaching yoga. She attended her first Yoga teacher training at Integral Yoga Institute, an additional a Yoga teacher training at Mount Madonna Institute in 2004. She is a certified massage therapist from the World School of Massage and spent time in Thailand studying at the Sunshine School of Massage.

Eleni earned a Spanish-bilingual Multiple Subject teaching credential at Mills College.

In 2004, after a couple of years teaching elementary school in San Francisco, Eleni traveled to India for her first time to study Yoga, Ayurveda, and tabla (North Indian drumming). Her travels led her to the Sri Santosh Puri Ashram in Haridwar —where she served as coordinator of curriculum, developing courses in: Yoga, Meditation, Bhagavad Gita, and Clinical Yoga. She taught the asana portion of the Clinical Yoga course.

Upon her return to the US, she formalized studies at the Mount Madonna Institute College of Ayurveda , earning an honors Diploma of Ayurveda Lifestyle Counselor (2007), and a Practitioner Certificate(2008). In 2009, Eleni traveled to India to study with two Ayurveda doctors in their clinics and treatment centers, observing over 200 patients while studying one of the ancient texts of Ayurveda called the Ashtanga Hrydayam. Committed to gaining practical experience, Eleni assists esteemed Nepalese Dr. Sarita Shresta in 2009 & 2010.

The Light on Ayurveda Journal awarded Eleni a scholarship based on her serious commitment to the ancient traditional practices of Ayurveda, Yoga, and Jyotish (Indian Astrology), to study at the gurukula of Dr. Vasant Lad in Pune, India, in November & December of 2010.

In her spare time, she studies Sanskrit & Jyotish, Hasta Samudrika (Indian Palmistry), plays tabla, draws Mandalas, and rides her bicycle.
